If I sat in a group of women in sobriety and point blank said, “I smoked crack, I sold my body for it, and now I’m living with the consequences,” they’d all probably relate. THAT right there, is the beauty of alcoholics anonymous as well as narcotics anonymous.

I believe the grief process is something that all of us go to not only when we lose people, but when we lose something. For me, I lost my drug and alcohol abuse – my main escape into oblivion.

I want to teach music again. When I started high school, I was still in contact with my middle school orchestera director, and I’d have her refer incoming students to me for private lessons. I had about two or three clients I worked with once a week each and it was amazing.

Saturday I went to a play called Wallflower by Deborah Stein. I really liked it. Ultimately, I percieved it to be about a girl, Milena, and her social media-based life. Throughout the play, Milena associates herself with a boy, Damon. I saw a lot of her in me because basically, the boy was BAD NEWS. [...]

Apocalyptica, Finnish metal cello quartet, was formed in the early 90’s and is most commonly known for the Metallica cello covers. Being a fan of any string tribute, symphonic metal, or cello rock, I’d have to say Apocalyptica is definitely up there with my favorite bands.

I have a lot of old resentments coming up recently, and I’ve been working my hardest to deal with them along with God. I do, however, know that resentments are the number one offender and they lead only to a life a unhappiness and futility (page 64 of the Big Book).
